Operation Christmas Child is an undertaking organised by Samaritan's Purse International to bring gifts at Christmas to underprivileged children in other parts of the world, to show them something of the love of Christ.  It involves packing shoeboxes with all manner of gifts which are then transported out to the children by lorries.

At St David's we have supported OCC for several years.  This year we collected 158 boxes - including 38 from St David's School - and they were delivered to the local OCC depot immediately afterwards.

This year's Moreton Show takes place on Sarturday September 2nd, at the Showground on the Batsford Road.  One of the country’s biggest one-day agricultural shows has something for everyone to see, do, taste and buy. That’s its appeal and what organisers pride themselves on providing. There are 350 trade stands showing or selling everything, from Combine Harvesters to Wellington boots and the very best locally produced food. All day, too, there is some thrilling entertainment in the Grand Arena and Attractions Ring. Amlongst the attractions this year are the Dancing Diggers, Falconry Display, Terrier Racing, Vintage Tractors, Dancing, Storytelling, Dancing Sheep, Circus Skills, Children and Pony Fancy Dress, and much, much more!

During the day St David's helps to run a tent on behalf of the North Cotswolds Deanery - it is called the Church Tent.  We serve coffee, tea and cakes throughout the day, and aim to let people know about many of the activities of the different churches in the area.  Come and join us, if you can!  And any offers of help are gratefully received - ring the Office on 652359.

The Tent is located opposite the Cotswold Food Tent, and is stand number 146.  For a map of the Showground click on this link.

The GOSPEL Partnerships are a growing network of Bible believing partnerships and churches throughout the UK seeking to reach the country with the life changing news of Jesus.  We exist to aid those churches and partnerships with resources on a wide range of topics. We are affiliated to the South Central Gospel Partnership which includes evangelical churches in the Oxford, Reading and Maidenhead area and also has a focus on training and church planting - a couple of members of St David's are at present attending one of their courses.

Here in the North Cotswolds we are a group of churches, across the denominations, which exist to further the work of the gospel, and encourage one another in gospel work. We meet to pray every three months, and organise occasional events with special guest speaker. Every four years we take part in the nationwide Passion For Life missions.

The last Passion for Life Mission took place in 2014.  Since then the group of churches has continued to meet together to pray and plan further events.  We are planning a new Mission for the summer of 2018, with Rico Tice coming as a main speaker, and it will be centred on a large tent near Kingham.  The title will be Exploring Life.
